Karbon Hitam dan Silika: Apa yang Sebenarnya Dilakukan Pengisi
Mengapa pilihan bahan pengisi mendorong abrasi, ketahanan gelinding, dan biaya pencampuran lebih mahal dibandingkan bahan tunggal lainnya.
Fillers are usually the lowest-cost ingredient per kilogram and the most expensive in processing time. Choosing between carbon black and silica changes the mixing cycle, the equipment needed and the final performance envelope.
Carbon black
Grades are named by structure and particle size: N330, N550, N660, N774 and so on. Smaller particles (N220, N330) reinforce more and give better abrasion resistance, but they are harder to disperse and raise compound viscosity. Larger particles (N660, N774) disperse easily and keep viscosity low, at the cost of lower reinforcement.
Silica
Precipitated silica, used with a silane coupling agent such as Si-69, is the standard route to low rolling resistance tread compounds. It typically gives lower hysteresis and better wet grip than a comparable carbon black compound. The costs are a longer mixing cycle with tightly controlled temperature windows, higher moisture sensitivity, and the need for the coupling agent to react properly.
Practical guidance
- High-abrasion treads and belts: reinforcing carbon black (N220–N330). - Low rolling resistance treads: silica plus silane. - General moulded goods where cost matters: semi-reinforcing blacks (N550–N774). - Always confirm the filler loading in phr — two quotes at the same polymer and hardness can differ by 15% in cost purely through filler level. ## Need the documents or today's price?
